Default Decided to keep my truck, now it is time to start modding!

I decided to keep my truck after all, now it is time to start doing some more mods. Here is what I plan on doing, might take some time, but it will get done eventually.

1. New transmission, mine is pretty much gone. I am losing my 2-3 shift, slips about 500 rpms right now under 1/2 throttle or more. Probably going to get a Jet tranny.

2. Yank TQ, probably going with 3000 stall and a trans cooler.

3. Electric fans.

4. Custom tuning to get rid of TQM, raise shift points ect. Probably going to go with Superchips like L-Eater did.

5. Get rid of the 4-link (with baggs), driving me nuts. Crappy ride, problems with the compressor and air leaks. Not sure what exactly I am going to do, but I want more of a Drag racing friendly setup.

6. Possibly some ASM long tubes. Not sure if this would be completely worth it, but they would have to show more of a gain than the shorty's I am currently running, especially with a blower.

7. Some ET streets for the track. I cannot hook with BFG Drag Radials with my setup right now, and if I get the mods above done, It will be even worse.

That is what I am planning, so I will keep you guys posted. I am hoping to be touching 12's with the mods above. Kent.

I've heard that the jet trannies are junk and to stay away from them. I've seen their website and they look promising but word of mouth has more pull with me. As for the superchips tuning you won't be disappointed, it works great. Those asm's should really shine with forced induction. I wouldn't mind having a pair on mine but they're not in my budget right now.

The price will definatly be lower than a cost of a rebuilt one, so that is why. Kent.

Does this mean you are not buying the car? or are you going to have both?

I am going to keep the truck, and maybe do the camaro/firebird thing in a couple years. Kent.

When I meant towing, I am only talking about a single trailer with a WaveRunner. So that being said, the only reason I was leaning toward Yank was because of the towing situation. Kent.
