Default Data Logging on Diablo Programmer??? And Timing??

Has anyone done data loggin with a diablo programmer?I was trying to hook it up with my notebook and it would not work. I downloaded the PC interface and tried to connect and nothing would happen. Does anyone have the solution.

Also since I have never done this... you can download data from the programmer to the PC right. I know that the PC interface you can also use it to download a custom tune when you request one. But not exactly sure if you can download data (like real time data). It is because I want to download data to an excel sheet and just look and what is going on.

Also as I was running the live data. at idle the spark was at about 18 degrees. As I accelerated at WOT it would jump all the way to 45 degrees is this ok. I noticed that some of you guys had it all the way to 30 degrees but not sure if that was at idle or WOT.

I want to start and learn some tuning, any help would be appreciated.
