Default Damn pacesetters!

ALright so I am in the middle of installing my headers after spending 3 hours getting the stock crap off (man 5 years of colorado winters suck when your trying to get a stock y pipe off...) and now the drivers side long tube doesnt wanna fit up from the bottom. i took out the spark plugs.... do i have to take off the steering shaft too? i thought from the bottom was the best way to do it? moddoo's writeup even made it sound like the drivers side was easier.... i just wanna get this crap done and go 4 wheeling today dammit! any help would be appreciated..

Both sides of my headers went in through the bottom with plenty of room to spare.

Try this on driver side.. Disconnect the red power junction and move it away. Disconnect the steering shaft and move it away. I did this and that header went straight in! The passenger side was a pain for me though.

alright... i do have the back of the transmission jacked up a lil bit with a 2x4 holding it off of the torsion bar cross brace because i took the transmission k member out.... could that be angling the engine and causing my problems?

remove the bolt in the middle of the shaft and then pull up on the shaft that goes through the firewall!

tape your steering wheel in place if you remove the steering shaft. you dont want the steering wheel spinning because it can cut wires and stuff.
