Default cutouts and convertor ?'s

I just got my TOGs put on. I am fixing to get LS1 Edit and I was going to put cutouts after the headers. I have a few questions for ya'll. I would appreciate your input. I need to know to order them this coming week.

1. Is there any way that I can stay legal and keep my cats on and add the cutouts right before the cats? Will the cats fit somewhere else? The TOGs are pretty much long tube and there is only about 3 inches before cats. Should I got through the trouble to relocate cats if possible? Or should I just grow ***** and cut the cats off? Just a little worried about the legality of no cats. (any body in louisiana please tell me how strict inspections are with no cats)

2. Will cutouts even help or should I save the money and just get my cats whacked off? I really like the sound when I drove open headers to the muffler shop yesterday morning!

some places are strict on it and some don't even check. i can give you the name of a place that will send you on yur way without checking for cats and/or tint. only problem you'd have to drive to gonzales/st.amant area
