So if i put one at the Y merge than i wont have to worry about o2 sensors? will it be loud enough? can i run it open for long periods of time there?

yes but youll be down on power some for street driving. they arent ment to be replacements for mufflers!!!!

Exactly, if you want cheap and loud just get rid of your muffler and get cat back straight pipes.
