I want somthing loud but dont got the money for headers right now. I went to a local place and asked what has a decent tone but is still loud and they gave me a cherry bomb muffler. Its decently loud but not that loud. On my old trans am i just cut off the muffler and it sounded great just like i had a catback but not toned... I was wondering if any of u guys have just cut urs off stock motor stock cam whats it sound like if so?

I did when my truck was still stock. I prefered it over the flow master and even the bullet I had. I'd do it and not look back untill u do headers. Then its Magnaflow all the way

 

He has high flow cats though, it will be loud!

 

oo good call it will be pretty loud.. may sound better? or worse? only judging by hearing a 350Z with high flow cats and factory cat back. disgusting.

I heard one guy at the track running open exhaust on an 06 and it wasn't pretty.
02 and earlier sound good open or with glasspacks

For sure, that truck is comin around very nicely man, maybe a little beefy cam, some heads or pistons and u'll be rumblin
