Default Custom tuning tow/haul mode

Can you custom tune tow/haul mode? When you press the button there is a change in the truck. I know that the shift points change from when it is off but I am not sure if anything else changes. Of course this has to be done through the PCM. Can a custom tuner see this in the PCM and have one set of tunes (or at least shift points and TM) for normal driving and a different set of tunes for when the tow/haul mode is on? Of course tow/haul mode will have to have its name changed to haul/butt mode.

yes, LS1edit allows this - shift ponts and some other transmission modifications only. No motor changes through tow haul though.

Yup, in HPT, it's called "Performance" mode. You can only modify shift points (which shift vs TPS vs speed), and torque converter clutch lockup points (apply/release vs TPS vs speed)

Yes, this works great. You can also change the shift firmness and shift speed for the performance mode. Torque management happens in all modes and isn't selectable with a switch.

I have mine set that way now. Normal shifts until I hit the button. Then it holds the gears for more rpms under all throttle levels. That lets me cruise along and wind up the gears without it shifting into a very high gear. Its ready to go full throttle instead of having to down shift.
