Something torquey down low with a decent lope at idle. BTR recommended the stage 2 for the specs I listed.

The stage 3 cam they have is similar to the one I had and it was a torque monster with the 3200 stall. It was fun.

You can't go wrong with what they recommended. It'll be a noticeable bump.

I'm a little hesitant to go that big on a stall. Never driven a vehicle with one and not sure what happens when I hook the trailer up and head to the mountains.

Not much happens. In everyday driving, the converter is a little looser, which means it revs easier/faster.

It's when you stomp the gas is when it "stalls" or flashes to 3200 before it moves.

If anything, it'll help towing in everyday driving.

So I think I've zeroed in on the tsp 212/218 with a 112lsa. Only question is what would be the advantage/disadvantage with the .550 lift vs. the .600 lift?

Advantage is that it'll make a little more power.

Disadvantage is that you'll spend more on springs and you'll most likely have to run a different pushrod.

Ok well I was considering sending the heads to PRC for the stage 2.5 and have them milled. Push rods were already a consideration. They offer the pac 1218's with .600 lift and tsp .660 dual springs pretty reasonable with the job.
