Default crazy idea or what

Ok heres the current setup:
Pacesetter Lts, ory pipe, cutout, single slp loudmouth I into Y Pipe to duals dumped just after axle. Now this is a loud setup, and with the cutout open it is crazy. (sometimes it gets too raspy)
Heres what I was thinking of doing:
Add a dynomax bullet on each pipe in the rear (after axle)and run tips notched into rollpan. Wondering how it would sound, and if it will cause any velocity problems with them being in the rear. I wouldnt think so because they are straight thru. This way I wouldnt have to mess with cutting out the loudmouth, and I plan on running the exhaust out to the rollpan anyway. Or should I just cut off the loudmouth and put in the magnaflow muffler that I bought to put on here. Help me out guys. How many are running the dynomax?

You want the bullets Before the mufflers from what i've seen.

Doesnt sound very effecient does it.LOL. It flows very well though, and I have good track times so it must work alright.

The loudmouth really isnt a muffler at all, its just an empty case. I am curious on how they would sound all the way back there. I would tuck them where they wouldnt be seen behind the rollpan, then a short piece of pipe to connect them to the tips that would be notched into the rollpan.

Even without the bullet mufflers, adding pipe and exiting out the rear will definitely help with the sound in the truck. Its not likely that even with the bullets that it will cure the rasp however. The bullets may dampen it a bit though.

I have had them out the side behind the rear tires with tips, out the rear at 45 degrees with tips, out the rear with turndowns. It is still raspy with any of those setups. Its not bad inside the truck with the windows up, but I like them down and you can definitly hear the rasp. WOT it sounds great, or slow moving around town, but light to moderate acceleration and you hear the rasp. I had some resonated tips on them at one time, now that made it too quiet. I dont mind the loudness( I want it), but I am after a better sound.

I hear ya. I love strong deep tone, but want it without rasp. The best thing I found for that was a set of high flow metallic cats. I tried several different mufflers and tailpipe combos, but as long as I was catless up front (or running stock muffler) I had rasp. I bought a good set of cats and the rasp as well as drone immediately went away. On the dyno I saw about 4 rwhp difference when I removed them.

I have had a few setups on this thing, the best was the loudmouth with stock manifolds and cats. When I put the headers on, that all changed. It sounds great on the track, but for everyday living it is a bit much.

Well, I dont think this will work. I tried several mufflers I had around here and they all had some rasp back there. I quess I will have to change out the loudmouth and put the muffler up there.

I would run like a small Magnaflow in place of the LM2
