That is not a sensor....I believe that is the harness for the hood light on the corvette that set up is on. That looks like a nice set up, but its getting out of control for what should be a basic set up IMHO.

it says those are used for dry sump or vacuum pumped assisted. i wonder if he has a vacuum pump . i know with vacuum its easier on piston rings so id like to have vacuum on my crank case but not have oil in my intake. so i think i may be sticking with the normal pcv from the valve covers with a catch can , now to find an amw for a decent price.

after some further research I think I'm going to keep it simple; I'll use the drivers side breather tube connected to a high quality catch can connected to the back of the Radix J-Tube.

Only question is should I use a one way valve?

From what I've read, some form of check valve is recommended with a catch can in boosted applications

You shouldn't need a check valve, as the J-tube only ever sees vac and not boost. Also, if you connecting it to the J-tube, you should have a breather to allow fresh air into the crankcase.

Agreed. I had both valve covers tied to the j-tube and had no problem pulling vacuum through the front and rear main seals... to the point to where I ruined my front seal. The Maggies definitely pull a **** ton of vacuum. There was a guy on the corvette forum that actually toyed with the idea of incorporating a vacuum reservoir so that under 1/4 mile boost conditions, by the end of the track, he would still be pulling vacuum on the crank case which is also supposed to be good for a little more horsepower... or at least that was the theory. Point was to keep the "PCV" system closed so as to not have to deal with maintenance of breathers or the oily burning cabin smell after lift...
I guess at some boost point the PCV system is no longer useful. This is a good thread and hope some good ideas come out of it

Bill
