crank no start. HELP!!
#1
Hello, everyone. I am reaching out to diagnose a crank no start on my 05 Sierra. A little back story, the truck sat most of the winter being undriven waiting on some suspension repairs. I had issues with the truck after making the suspension repairs. It had a rough idle, some stalling issues and it would hold gear changes at times. I thought since it sat for such a long time and it runs on E85 the injectors might be clogged. I put injector cleaner in the fuel and would run it a bit here and there but only in the driveway as I feared I would get stranded somewhere. One day it seemed to be idling better and I thought it was in fact dirty injectors. I put the truck in the garage and gave it a blip on the gas and it stalled and would not re-start. Sometimes I get a little puff of sound but mostly just cranking. So, here is what I do know.....The fuel pump primes and I have 58 psi fuel pressure at the rail, I had the injectors sent off to be cleaned, I did a spark check on cylinder 7 and I am seeing spark, I replaced the crank sensor, if I spray starter fluid in the throttle body it will not fire. If anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Since all this started after the suspension work, what was done? Any chance you got into a ground or the main harness above the driver side wheel well?
Otherwise, How do the plugs look? Dry? Wet? If so, oil or fuel? Did you run a compression test? Does throttle body move with pedal? Just trying to find what is missing in the AFCS equation.
edit... just thought of something else, you mentioned running on E85 and it sat all winter. Have you tested fuel content coming out of the rail? Wondering if the ethanol picked up a bunch of water from condensation while it sat.

After the suspension work the car ran and drove. It did stall and stumble a bit so I removed all the fuel and replaced with new fuel 93/E85 mix and a stabilizer. I did a compression check and I got 210 in every hole. I did not verify if the throttle body is opening as I have been working alone. I can have my wife verify.
