you have to pay about 50 bucks to have the pred reflashed so it is like new again. so hypertech has that one up on pred. don't really know anything about the other one. predator is a good handheld. no it isn't a custom tune but overall i would give it a B rating.

I'm still playing with my Crane Tuner, but one thing I can tell you that I don't like right off the bat is that you can't change full throttle shift points, AT ALL.

So far that's my only problem with the tuner (although it does seem to set the shift points to the optimum setting with the tuner). It does have a lot going for it if you are going to do a cam swap later on, which I'm doing.

The thing I like best about it is that I can delay the part throttle shifting by about 300 rpms. That cures the early part throttle 2nd gear shift, which used to annoy the hell out of me when turning out into traffic.

Oh, and you can sell the Crane tuner as long as you return your truck to stock (just like the hypertech only the Crane tuner is better IMHO).

I just got hptuners. It is by far worth every bit of the money. I had a hypertech and the only thing it is good for is fixing the speedo after gears and tires. If you are going to spend $300-400, you might as well go the rest of the way and get the HPT. It can do everything the hypertech can do plus a whole lot more. I wish I never wasted my money on the hypertech and suggest you don't either. If I knew then what I know now, I would be a lot richer and faster. Skip all the bolt-on crap get a s/c and hp tuners!!!!

seeing red so you can make the tranny shift harder but full throttle you cant bring it up more? it says you can raise rev limiter so im guessing it should let you bring up shift points?
