Ok i have a few questions as i figure out more what i want to do with my truck as far as power is concerned... i have come across a few questions i just cant seem to answer myself...

1.) I recently got new tires 305/70/17 Goodyear MTR's G-year advertises them as being 34" tall and now my 3.73s are really making the truck feel sluggish... thus this question, would 4.56's be TOOO much? 4.10's are probably best but if im going to spend the cash to swap id like to get slightly better performance... I do mostly city driving, but even on the highways here its up one hill and down the other...

2.) Im considering a new exhaust setup that plays to this tune... ASM headers, no cats, into true dual (insert mufflers)... i was thinking of some sort of glasspack??? dynomax bullets? I have a Y pipe right now with cats, and i like the sound, i wouldnt care if this was louder just not popping and stuff not really into that sort of sound....

if you guys can answer these questions itll surely help the one with the gears is a little more important right now because exhaust is more opinnon as far as sound... Thanks a bunch Later

 

glass packs or bullits with no cats would be really, really loud and cackly. if you go true duels be sure and get an h pipe or x pipe and at least put something like an ultraflow or some kind of strait thru real muffler, that will still be really loud though. i had some large body turbo mufflers on my last truck and the sound was about right for me.

i dont think the 456's would be too steep with 34" tall tires.

 

im tourning roughly 1700rpm's at 60 mph... that may help you guys to answer my question about the gears....
