Default Corsa tips hitting bottom of bed?

Went over a really rough patch of road today and I just so happened to be sitting in the bed of my truck. I heard a loud clunk so when I looked at teh exhaust tips, they have puts several small dents in the bottom of the bed side. You can't see them because they are underneath, but if the problem continues then they might worsen. Anyone else had this problem? My Corsa tips tuck pretty close to the bed, I might need to try and rotate some of the piping to get them to hang lower. Input is appreciated. Thanks!

there is plenty of adjustment, sounds like you may have them too close. remember, they are on rubber mounts so there is some movement

Corsa tips CLOSE to bed??????????? You got to be kidding me.
Mine are far away from my bed. I couldn't ever see them coming in contact with the bed. No matter how hard or big of bumps I hit.

I finally got up the energy to adjust mine a bit. Got em tucking close now. The gap was killing me. Just loosen the clamp behind the muffler and twist the pipe untill the tips are where you want them..

Yeah I agree, mine are sitting very far away from the bottem of the bed. I may try to adjust them just so they sit closer to the body than they do now.

I didn't know that they could be adjusted closer without modding the hanger.
I might just give that muffler clamp and twisting the pipe thing a try.
I just don't want the exhaust pipes to get too close to something.

Thanks for the advise!

Yeah, never heard of Corsa tips hitting the bed, LOL. My tips are hanging pretty low (common problem) and I would like to get them closer to the body. I'll try the twist at the muffler idea.

Thats all I did and worked like a champ. I bent no hangers, didnt want to. I can slip my hand between the top of the tips and the bottom of the bed.

Question

Hair getting a bit thin on the top???!!!!
J/K man. Your bumper took a mirror image of your head.
Great adjustment on the exhaust tip!
Can you push or pull on the exhaust system and make the tips hit the bottom edge of the bed??
I only ask because I know that the rubber vibration dampners that the hangers are held in by allow the exhaust system to have movement for bumps and frame flex.
Just thought I would ask if you tried to test the movement after the closer adjustment.

Big fat WERD on the hair deal.. Oh well..... When its time its time I guess. I can only make it hit the bed if I lay on the ground and really push up on it. The insulators pretty much keep it away from the bedside. I wasnt wanting to get it that close.
