Corsa exhaust questions
#1
For those of you guys that have a Corsa Exhaust on your Silverado's...could you feel any power gains from the stock set up. I know the numbers are good but what about the SOTP meter? Any pictures of the side exaust step up with the 2 4 inch tips on the one side. Does it look good or too much for the one side? Thanks. Looking to get one real soon as my current system has rusted out and I'm just running straight out of the manifold.

The very first thing I did on my truck was the supercharger, so I had it running through stock manifolds and stock exhaust. I did feel a SOTP difference with the exhaust, but it was minor compared to what I was putting out already.
I really like the way the side exit tips look. Sorry, the one pic wasn't lit right and you can't see much except the shape of the tips.

Been my experience that if it is louder it always seems faster

thanks for the info and pictures. Doesn't seem that the 2 tips are too big for the one side. Any problems or concerns with the product. I've heard good things about it but just like to get lots of info before dropping the big bucks.

My Corsa side exit exhaust was the first mod on my truck. Installation was extremely easy. The hardest part was taking the stock exhaust off. Since the whole Corsa system came in 4 main parts, it was easy to install and adjust if necessary. Performance wise I do not think the Corsa is worth its $650-$750 price tag. However the sound at WOT and mellow sound at idle/part throttle really make up for the price. Honestly, I think I lost a little low end power with the Corsa but I was very impressed with the power above 3500 rpm's. Overall, good quality system and don't forget it's officially licensed by GM.

That one pic at ground level that is shadowed has got to be the worst possible shot.
My L33 has not lost any low end power. It seems to run out stronger too.
Now that I have stopped experimenting I have noticed a small mpg increase in the city. I have not had enough normal highway running to rate it yet.
I did make a 500 mile hard run all interstate and the truck MPG readout averaged 15.0 MPG. I tell you I was running her as hard as she would go with out a tune.
Most of the Red Necks around here have their trucks sounding like boats, Blub Blub Blub. I get lots of complements on the sound.
The sport edition is loud but the touring edition is no silent runner. Both are quiet inside at cruise. The touring is a tad better inside and flows the same as the sport.
