I saw the Fed Ex guy unloading two boxes with Corsa printed on the side, and I knew it was my cat-back. I had to go buy a hacksaw so I could get the stock exhaust off. I started cutting the pipe at 8:30 this evening, and I fired the truck up at 9:15. The hardest part was cutting the stock pipe w/ the hacksaw. The install was a breeze, and the complete system is NIIIICE to look at. The tips are AWESOME! I got the side-exit system with dual 4" Pro-Series tips. I fired it up, and it had a GREAT, mellow rumble to it. It has a nice burble to it at idle, and it sounds awesome at WOT! There isn't any resonance inside of the truck at all...exactly what I wanted! Looking inside the muffler, it's a straight-through design. It looks like it has openings at the front and back of the muffler.
I am VERY pleased with the system! It looks kick-***, and it sounds just as great. I HIGHLY recommend this cat-back! It went together without a hitch. I'm going to have the tip welded on, though. With as nice as they are, I can see someone trying to steal it. Let me know if any of you are interested in getting one for your truck. Here is the link to my truck page with a few pics! http://trevor98ramair.cz28.com/photo6.html

BlackBeauty - I will snap some pics of it tonight and hopefully get them posted up tonight as well. It looks really nice!
BigTex - LOL! I live in, uh, the DFW area. I'm going to keep an eye on the gas mileage and see how much it's affected. I check it everytime I fill up.
While cruising at 70 MPH, the exhaust is virtually inaudible. I can honestly say that it's exactly what I wanted. It has a great sound to it during acceleration, but it does not resonate at all.

I've had a few days to drive the truck since the exhaust system was installed, and it has loosened up a little with some miles. You can't help but grin when you hear it at WOT! The part-throttle rumble is perfect; it's aggressive but nothing too loud. It's just nice to not have the resonance inside the truck. I had a Hooker muffler on my '99 Silverado, and the resonance on the highway drove me crazy. The Corsa system is virtually inaudible inside the truck when cruising. You can barely hear the rumble if you turn the radio off. The system is worth the money IMO. You get the best of both worlds: a great rumble at part-throttle and WOT with no resonance and whisper-quiet on the highway. Needless to say, I like it a LOT better than the Gibson side-swept cat-back that I had on my '99 GMC.

A before/after dyno would have been cool. How's performance?
The grille looks good!

Trevor,
Are you still running cats on the truck? Just curious.
I want to change my exhaust setup on my truck from what I got now.
I currently have AS&M LT's with a custom 3" ORP that flows into a 5 chamber Flowmaster muffler.
It makes great power but I got the dreaded drone at about 1800 - 2200 rpm and the usual FlowDisaster raspyness at WOT.
I'm thinking of putting a pair of aftermarket cats on and then get a nice looking and sounding exhaust, and that Corsa looks pretty good, and I imagine from your description sounds good too.
So how much did you say that Corsa was?
I'm pretty much tired of my droning and raspyness flowdisaster exhaust, it too is driving me crazy and it's time for a change.
Make me a good deal and I'll promise not to run my SS against your SS anymore!

Gordon,
Man, it sounds like you've been busy with the new truck! I can't believe you pulled the cats and stuck a Flowmaster muffler on there. If I didn't know any better I would have thought that you owned a Mustang. Send me all of the info on your truck (i.e. ext. cab, SB or LB, 5.3L or 6.0L, etc.). I can't remember from when I saw it back in April. I will then get you a price on the Corsa. You'll like it a LOT better than the Flowmaster, and it will look tons better, too.
Don't make me slap a set of heads on my car.
