Default Corsa on 2500hd 6.0 perf gain?

Hi Guys:
I can get a Corsa touring catback for a good price ($450)from my local shop, but really I am not looking for sound but performance for towing.

Waste of money? or Money well spent?

Right now running a diablo and k&n drop in other wise stock 2006 2500 6.0.

agreed. you could spend that money on some gears if you tow alot. buy a $70 magnaflow and weld it on, that would be the same thing.

here's the muffler i put on, dual 3" in/out then i shotgun it out the side just before the tire. I've been real happy with it. you won't really see any real serious gains with an intake and exhaust but it breathes better and sounds great.

All i've got done is K&N CAI, muffler, and Nelson 93 tune. doesn't win any races but it tows well.

More sound than performance...it will breathe better than stock though, but I doubt that you'd even feel the difference. Best bang for buck would be to weld in the muffler of your choice in the stock location.

Thanks guys, saved me $500! Much appreciated.

The same shop says 5hp available by cutting out the cats, turn off the 02 sensors and tune for the flow, I call BS what do you think? 82K miles on the truck.

I've seen dyno graphs as high as 7 rwhp, but the question is why?

That's a lot of stuff to worry about for such a little gain. Why not invest in some long tube headers and ditch the cats while you're at it?
