Default correcting mileage after cluster swap?

I just swapped my cluster for the Denali but added the Escalade ring bezel, looks pretty good. I called a local speedo shop who wants 400 dollars to correct my mileage, Holy Crap! Is this what I can expect to pay, or are they too high? Has anyone else done this. Thanks

That is way too much! Shouldn't cost more than 40-50 bucks. You can also just go up to your dealer and get a doorjam sticker showing your previous clusters milage. I looked into getting my actual milage on my Escalade cluster but opted out since I would have to ship it off and most places wanted both clusters to verify the milage.

Correct the mileage? I thought the new cluster was a cheap extended warranty.

I got mine done for $50. Call the dealer and see who they use.

I would think that could be a big car scam. I don't think it would be to hard for me to swap clusters in mine drive around put 30k on it and sell it for much more than I could with 200k.

I admit that I did that on my last car. I shaved some 20k miles from my car, and can only assume that I added about $1000 or so in resale value when I traded it in to a dealer for my Suburban.
