Default Copper or Aluminum Collector Gaskets?

Well, since I had to send my DMH 3" electric cutout back for repair, the gasket that came with the QTP dump pipe has gotten crushed, disturbed, and I don't trust it after I pull the cap off and reinstall the cutout. Been looking at Summit's website and I like either the copper or aluminum 3" collector gaskets available. Mr. Gasket, Summit, Percy's, etc. all make them. Which style/brand have you guys had good luck with and what do you recommend? Thanks all!

The cutout didn't come with one, but the dump pipe did, and it's like dimpled aluminum on either side, with composite in the middle. When I removed the cutout, half of the gasket stuck to the cutout and the other stuck to the dump pipe, since I used that copper hi-temp rtv on both sides of it

I've had good luck with Percy's seal-4-good gaskets. I'm going to be installing some of their new xx carbon gaskets on my Tahoe.

I've always just used copper gaskets from a local auto parts store on my collectors with a three bolt flange.. never had any issues

Thanks for the replies guys, maybe I'll see what the local shops have to offer before I go ordering anything. I reassembled the gasket that's currently on there, by "gluing" it back together with the hi-temp copper rtv and it's holding up so far, but I'm not sure that I want to use it as a permanent solution

I use percy's aluminum with rtv on the 3bolt flanges i have. I like them cause they are thicker than the copper ones. Also to get the Aluminum to seal. Tighten them the. Get the exhaust hot, the crank them down again.

I used percy, they work fine if you leave them alone, or mark the way they were if you take it apart again.
