Coolant Tabs
#1
I had a package of coolant tabs to put in my truck when I did the engine swap. I forgot to put them in at the time. I am running Dex-Cool antifreeze. Should I use them or not?

I thought that the coolant tabs were more of a band aid item for the old problematic aluminum block engines such as the Cadillac 4100? I've never used them, and never heard of them being used in a performance application...I'd chuck em.

X2 with Bud. They are for the older Cadillacs and Olds Quad 4 motors. They have no use in a LS motor. Head gasket technology has come a long way over the years. Think about how a cast iron block and aluminum cylinder heads expand/retract at different rates. This can be very hard on head gaskets.
