Default Computer updates

I just found this at Chevytalk. You guys enter your VIN's and you can see what cpu updates need to be done on your trucks. I found 20.

how do you know if you need one? i typed my number in and i saw like 26 different part #'s. i saw two that had a blue bullentin #. so what does all that mean?

if i need one would i just take it to the dealership? is it free? thanks....
