My buddy has an '01 Z28 and he purchased a Predator tuner for it. Off of a whim, we hooked the tuner to my truck ('01 4.8) and it allowed me to read the data, just not change it.
My question is...what kind of things can I look for to see if my truck is running "right" or not? I've heard you guys talk about L-trims and stuff like that, but I'm lost when it comes to anything other than plugging in my HPPIII and letting it do the dirty work for me!
Any thoughts?

I don't think that it shows KR, but it does show the O2 readings. What kind of spark should I be running (is that total timing?)?
I don't have Atap, but I guess that I really don't need it unless I'm getting a Predator or LS1 Edit.

Timing at WOT will vary by RPM bgut will usually stay at 1 # then drop some at around 4200rpm then come right back up.
If the timing tables are the same for the 4.8L as the 5.3L then your timing should max out at 28-29deg @ WOT.
You'd have to find someone with a 01' 4.8L that has LS1 Edit to know for sure.

You can check for little things like Timing, see what it is at durring WOT runs.
Check for Knock Retard.
If it allows you to see what your O2 sensors are reading check those to see if they are in the .870-.920mv range at WOT.
I'm not sure what all this unit does but I would check the above items if you can.
