ok, problem, truck won't start, it turns over, is getting fuel, but won't start. and yes, it is fireing on the plugs. My driver door lock will lock, but won't unlock using the elec door lock button. no lights work, outside or inside the cab.
i was trying to do the headlight mod in the appearance section and accidentaly put the diode in while having the key on. stupid mistake. now, does this mean that my computer is dead? also, wtf does the computer look like, is it that little black plastic box under the steering column?
i did check all fuses, and i pulled the ecm fuses for five minutes to no avail.

Check them all! You might check them again just to ake sure you didn't overlook one.
I remembered getting called by an old 'boss' to help him chase down some burnt wires. I ended up chasing it right down to a blown fuse he had checked 3 times already.

Yeah, it takes me forever to find burned fuses. I'll look at them three times before I notice.
I'm thinking it's a fuse too, though.
The computer (at least in my truck) is located right up near the drivers side of the radiator. There is a funny black square-ish piece of plastic about, I don't know, 8x10, that's the cover for it. It's angled, facing towards the middle of the radiator. You'll see two thick cables coming out of it from behind the cover.
