Question Comps web site wrong on cam specs, got ????'s

Got the cam today.....for part number 55-444-11 comps web sit shows it being 224/230 .581/.588 114lsa 2000-7000 rpm's
turns out the cam is 224/230 .581/.592 114lsa 2000-7000rpm's,I called comp to verify.misprint on the website.
Is this good? bad??
I'm also still trying to figure out where this cam will make peak hp. Since its actually for the ls1 wont the larger 6.0 plus the truck intake bring down the peak hp some?? I was thinking about advancing the cam, but dont want to if it's going to lower the operating range too much. I'd like to be shifting in the 6400-6600 rpm range if possible. Lower would be fine, but not higher.

If you advance it, 6500 will be hard to reach in a 6.0 with the truck intake. I would install it on a 114cl or even retard it 1 degree. With a 6.0 you don't need to move your power peak down....= nothing but wheel spin.

.592 is correct for a XE-R lobe, that shouldn't be a problem at all.The 918 valvesprings you are going to run will easily accomodate .600 lift.

I plugged your cam specs into DeskTopDyno with my 6.0 to give you an idea of the hp and torque peaks.

graph

This is at 114 centerline

114 centerline means cam is installed straight up, 112 would mean it is advanced 2 degrees, 115 would mean retarded 1 degree and etc.

114LSA means degrees from centerline of intake lobes to centerline of exhaust lobes

by the way, I have tried 4 different Comp cams in various 5.3's and 6.0's and they all like to shift 400-600 rpm's less than what Comp states as their top of range

I assume he means lobe separation angle of 114 which is ground into your cam and doesn't change versus lobe center which changes when the cam is advaced or retarded.A lot of racers install cams by the location of the intake lobe center as an easy way to degree their cams in.

Ok, got it, I was thinking it meant straight up. On your desktop dyno chart it looks like running it straight up will put peak power where I would like it to be.
