Everything I have been reading says that it's not worth the $ to upgrade them and that stock coils will do the job just fine.

That being said I will more than likely change out to MSD when I get some other mods completed and out of the way, but that's just because I have an illness for modding my trucks and no self control...

summit racing sells a few different types... Ive been looking to add them. I like the short plug wires instead of mounting them on the firewall or elsewhere

No reason for spending the money. Keep the stockers.

Might want to search around here and LS1Tech for "MSD Coils" before dumping any coin on them. I remember reading a loong time ago about a member who had the MSD's and kept having problems with them burning out and having to get them replaced...a lot of hassle for something that costs so much IMO. If anything, I'd look into the round coils that Quik mentioned, you could probably pick up a full used set, with brackets, sub-harnesses and everything either at a junkyard or in our classifieds for less than 100 smackers.

*EDIT* A can of red paint and 8 little MSD stickers is probably less than 10 bux btw

Very nice valve covers if you got the cash for a clean looking engine.
