Default Coated OBX Headers???

Has anyone done it yet? I'm planning on sending a set to Jet-Hot for their Sterling 1300 finish. They said they'd charge $285 for the job. I'd like to see some pics of some before I commit though! Should help a little with the spak plug wire problems.

Sounds like a waste of money to me. The wires will still burn on cermaic coating. Plus the SS looks so much better

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, installing non coated headers is so much more stress free than coated headers because you don't have to worry about scratching up the coating. I really messed up my coating on the steering shaft bolt (idiot!) Im mad about that one.

Well, the coating will decrease underhood temps. And they do provide a little bit of insulation. I'm still gonna take precautions as to the spark plug wire, but I figured the coating will help. That's not the only reason I want em coated, mainly for the decreased under hood temps. I like the coated look better, plus scratching them is no worry. I've installed coated and on coated, and I like coated better. Especially when you need to work on your motor right after driving! Cool down time is a lot faster!

Your opinion I guess. I've noticed no difference in underhood temps between coated and non coated. The way people talk about non coated headers you'd think it was like an oven under there.

Well, I had a cammed gto with non coated and a procharger with coated. Both kooks headers. And the fi car actually was cooler under the hood even though it was boosted.
