I was wondering what heads from a gen III engine will bolt up to a 2000 5.3.
The reason that I am asking is that a buddy of mine swapped out a set of 202 heads from a vette on his old gen 350. There isn't much of a selection of heads out there for the truck yet(edelbrock just came out). That and the cost is a big factor especially after buying a supercharger. Any and all help is great.

 

All of them.....the engine architecture is identical across the whole line so pick your poison and bolt 'em on....just remember, some combo's are better than others though

 

personally just rock the stock 5.3s. they flow well enough for mild build ups

Hey yelo how do you find the HP Tuners? I have it to but its all french to me. I'm more of a wrench turner than a tuner.

it's got a bit of a steep learning curve but with the help of all the guys on here I've had no problems tuning my truck so it's running better than I ever thought it could with my frankenstein collection of parts (the help files that come with HPT are pretty usefull as well)
