Cool Check this out

I have a 02 gmc sierra RCSB that I swapped in a 02 vette 350. I just got my Zo6 cam and yellow springs and was planning on installing them in a few weeks. I have a transgo hs2 shift kit thats waiting to be installed as well. I have just sent the W4me tune to get reprogrammed for the cam swap. My question is what kind of power will I be gain in this swap . plan a TB converter as soon as i can afford it. thanks for the info.

The 5.7 LS1 or LS6 is a 350, the vortec 350 is a 5.7, but they are not the same engine just the displacement.

As for hp for the cam swap, I would say somewhere around the Z06 statis if not more.

Quik is correct! Alot of people automatically assume "350" when they find out the LS1 or LS6 is a 5.7. The Chevy 5.7 has NEVER really been a 350 either. I think the original Gen 1 engines were 348 CI, for example. It just sounds better to say 350 instead of 346 or 348, LOL.

Plus the LS1 and LS6 are great motors. Aluminum blocks and heads. Lots of power and great revving motor. My 2000 SS camaro has more power at the rear wheels than my Max with just minor bolt-ons!!! Car kicks butt! LS6 even better (Intake) and LS2 best!! IMO
