Default Cheapest lq4 long block

im looking into replacing the lm7 in my 05 2wd with a lq4. So far the cheapest I can find is a reman motor from rockauto. Also, has anyone used a finish line trans? I plan on swapping my trans out for one of theirs hopefully at the same time.

A junkyard pull out or a craigslist 6.0 would be cheaper than a reman.

In fact you could likely buy 2 or 3 used engines for the price of a reman unit that isn't even fully assembled.

your cheapest option is probably have your original motor refreshed with factory replacement parts by a local rebuilder with a good reputation.

What's your budget?

I had an FLT trans, in fact, it's still running great with the new owner. It's almost 10 years running strong. Matched with a Yank 3200 billet stall. Though it doesn't get daily use much, it still runs.

im wanting to go with a 6.0 over my 5.3 for more power to haul with. And I don’t really have a budget, but not really wanting to spend $5000 on a crate motor. Rock auto has them Renan for $2000.

You need a new or remanned 6.0 for less than $2,000? Used down here they're rarely below $1,200. You could go to LKQ and pull one for $350 plus an extended warranty of $83. If you have the engine out and are using it for towing, you should want to stick a cam in it and it's gonna need a tune anyway.
