fwiw, the thermal coatings don't do a whole hell of a lot. Some- yes. Big deal? no. Header wrap does way more.

The problem with header wrap is that it promotes rusting and when wet it is a thermal conductor not a shield. I'm looking at getting the headers coated inside and outside with jet hot extreme sterling coating.. supposed to be a great thermal shield

I don't agree with that... The previous headers (hookers) that I had on my truck would be cool to the touch after 20-30mins.... These new AEM ones take hours to cool off so I can touch them...
