Default cats or no cats??

Got my dynatech headers in the mail today, but I ordered the ORY pipe and got the ones with converters instead. Should I send them back or just run the cats? Is there any performance gains without cats?

with the cats you'll get better low end. without... little less low end and more top end.

i lost low end when i put on my dual exhaust, but i gained more low end when i cut off my cats, my truck now down shifts far less in hills.

Of course, I gain way more high end horse power with both deals!

Normally I would say no cats, but I just bought some Dynatechs and noticed that they are definately high flow cats. I'll be testing them out, but will be buying the "off-road" pieces. The one thing that I like about their y-pipe is that you can easily swap from cats to no cats in your driveway!!

Cats alleviate the hassle of emission test problems. No emission test=no cats and vice versa for my opinion.

I say no cats. They just get clogged over time (even just a little), and they can slow down flow...
