I am going to install the TR220 .551/.551 112 cam. The reason why I am asking this is Queknuf has none and uses thorley headers and made 340 rwhp and that is the same amount of power I want to make. I really like the Dynatech system, and I know you get what you pay for. Would their be any gain over no cats to high flow ones?

Generally you only see about a 5-8rwhp lose from no cats to high flows on a high HP setup. High meaning 350-420rwhp. I'm sure at 500+ you may see more loss.

I noticed a nice gain on top end without my cats. This was on a 212/218.

Quick,

One thing you can do. Take one of those battery charged screw drivers. Get a long drill bit, and go all the way thru the cats, 10 or so times. This is what I did when I first installed the Thorleys. That paired with the pv muffler. It really sounded perfect.

But, I wanted a little bit more and went ahead and gutted the whole thing a couple weeks ago. ehh
