Default Catback or Muffler shop?

Whats your opinion on aftermarket exhaust. Buy a catback system or just go to a muffler shop and have them install a magnaflow or flowmaster...etc with turned down pipe after axel. I'm mostly concerned with the performance side of it. This will be a daily driver.

Got my JBA for 306 shipped to my door, catback, sounds nice. Doesn't sound too mellow and not too aggressive. Just right for me....

It's on an 02 yukon 5.3...

I would go with a cat-back kit. Some muffler shops do awesome custom work, but unless you know the installer its a gamble with the quality. However, If you have seen good work from a particular installer, it would be cheaper than the kit and work just as well. I like the magnaflow kits a lot because they are stainless and fit well. I have never installed Corsa, but they sound the best IMO. If you replace only the muffler use a 3" inlet and outlet. (fits over the stock piping)

Funny how the website says: "This muffler works great on the troublesome 6.0L GM "

Default If youre gonna do a turndown ...

order a catback. Its hard to line the tips up properly with a mail order exhaust. Its a general design and sometimes the rear exits dont match up.

I think summit sales a cat-back for a long bed then just cut it to your length or have a shop install it. The cat-back is like $150
