Default CAT Question?

Do I need the converters? Im in KY and there is no emisions check. I have a 04 5.3 auto reg cab. Volant CIA, Corsa Cat back, Custom tune on the way. Im getting ready to do a Comp 218/220 cam swap, 4.10s, and long tube headers. I was wondering if there was any advantage to getting rid of them? I figured since the shop was going to have to do some exhaust work to use them with the Corsa I might get rid of them.

Any thoughts what this thing might run in the 1/4 mile?

Zremoving the cats will help your exhaust flow better..i dont run them either..you have to have your tune tell the rear O2's not to report and then remove them.
