some signs can be power loss, sluggish pedal response, and check engine light. Maybe a few more signs but that is mostly what I delt with

when mine failed I also got random misfires

 

Depending on how the cats fail, there could be different symptoms. If a cat is plugged, you will notice poor acceleration, engine will not rev above 4k, and will start to ping and misfire at that point. Might even notice weak exhaust out of the tailpipe.

 

a little off topic, but when you buy a new vehicle is it a 5 or 7 year grace period in cali?

 

yes....i bought the truck in october 02 and i believe ill be up for smog this fall.

 

So whast up wit the 4 inch exhaust??? And why do I get teh blame ?????

 

selling off the 4" stuff your fault for everything because i say so

 

the cats are now hollow and for sale. looks like this friday or next tuesday ill drop it off for duals.
