Carbed LS for an S-10
#1
A friend of mine is building a s-10 that is going to be a boosted 5.3. I am selling him the engine from an 2001 burb. I will post some pictures as he makes progress because right now it is a gutted chassis.
My main question now is what if any of the harness is he going to need for the MSD 6LS? Doese it come with all the wiring for the coils or do you have to use some of the stock wiring. Along with this does he need th stock computer at all?

I haven't looked into this in almost 2 years now, so my memory is foggy. I have a fully built TH350 just sitting around, but I have an extra Alto Red Eagle rebuild kit and one rebuildable transmission and wanted to use it with an LS build.

You don't need any of the factory harness or factory computer for the MSD box.
You'll need to use the spacer that comes with the 80e as well as a flexplate with holes drilled for a TH350 (neither the 60e or 80e have the same bolt pattern)

keep the map sensor from the efi setup. the MSD box has provisions for it. he will need to get a TPS sensor mounted to the carb somehow.
