My Toyo Proxes used to do the job with the 5.3,the truck is already dropped 3" in the rear.I'm planning on going with a set of 4.10s,a Eaton posi in place of the Auburn pro and a new set of Edelbrock IAS shocks.

Awesome!Love to hear about that kind of power. And to think you came on this board running only a 5.3 radix Tahoe headers/stall/gears laying down a 13.2,Hell thats where you started. So that radix feeds that stroker just fine?

What about raising the rear mounts of the upper control arms, so that the instant center is moved rearward. Or lowering the rear mounts of the lower control arms.? Kinda like the relocation brackets for a F-bod.

might work, might not.

I believ qa1 for your truck in the rear would be about the same cost as elderbrocks. At least with the qa1's you have the option of making them stiff as hell or really soft.

I love mine but I don't have a blown 402

Does QA1 make a shock for a Tahoe?I'm thinking that fabracating a rear axle location kit with some tubular control arms might be an option.

it sounds to me that you are going to have to stiffen the entire frame and such. as far as the shocks, i would go with the qa1 even if you have to fab some stuff up for them to fit. going to 4.10 might help you out some but don't count on it totaly alleviating you with the spinning problem. i would love to go and buy grocery's in that tahoe. great job on building a monster.

Do you have any idea as to what you are putting down? Im hoping to give you a little comp later this year if all goes well. Im planning a T trim, but not sure if I want to go 364, 370, or 408. I was hoping a built '65 would do OK, but it seems just the gearing would be a problem. What size tires are you running in the rear? Are you still on a 17?
