That's where the oil cooler block goes.

No they didn't in 1500 trim. But there is a gasket behind it that you can get from the dealer pretty cheap. I think i paid 7 bucks for mine.

Everything stock on the truck? Looks like the leak is elsewhere IMO honestly. Thats the place all the turbo guys get their oil as well. You have to drill it and tap it for that, it wont leak stock unless its around the gasket area of the oil block.

Alright thanks for the info the whole motors coming out an getting cleaned/painted/new gaskets while the trans is at the shop atleast I now know what I'm looking for

And yes for now it is all stock the motor it self is in a beater I picked up for 1000$
The body is the first thing to address IMO but as soon as I take care of all that nonsense I wanna do a rebuild, head/main studs and cam then mabey a 67 or 72 mill turbo with 6.0 ported heads and lsxr mani but that's down the road a few months

Pull the starter and check the dipstick tube o-ring for leaks. I bet that's where it's coming from.

Thats on the complete opposite side of the block^^

Ive had problems with crankcase pressure and the rear main seal before. And dam it makes a mess. Also valve cover leaking down the back of the block, and the oil pressure sender on the back/top of motor.
