also how long do you guys think the stock springs will last with the tr227 in it. i had the 212/218 comp in there with the stock springs for prob. 12-15k miles. now i got the stock cam in there but im going to be pulling it back out to see if its messed up and if it is im thinking of throwing the 227 in there.

This will not work for viewing our lifters. If they have to be checked out or replaced, the heads have to come off. Sucks, but thats how it is.

The stock springs will be alright with that cam but oyu shouldnt run it hard or you will float the valves. I would give you mine for the paint work stuff but they are already spoken for.

I dont know man that is alot higher lift cam than stock and the lobes on that cam are alot more aggressive you will be able to tell when the valves are floating but you better back out it immediately. I would just put springs on there if you are going to go to the trouble of putting cam in there or I can send you my 6L cam if that one is messed up Im not going to use it.

Was the cam retainer nice and snug to the block and was the timing chain gear nice and snug to the cam?
