Default Can I cut away the AC bracket bolt hole from the block?

I tried to fit my Corvette C5 ls1 Engine bracket on my Chevy lm7 today. I mounted the one on the driver side without any problems, Then I came to the passanger side.

The bolthole for the AC is in itīs way and need to be cut away to make the bracket line up for the boltholes. So I wonder if I can cut it away without any problems? I will not use AC in my car.

Here in the green ring you see the space between the bracket and itīs mounting hole. And in the red is the piece I want to cut away.

Cut away, IMO. I wouldnt cut more than flat with the ribs on the block, though.
