there is a metal line line that comes from the tank with the fuel line. it hooks to it at the firewall behind the driver side head.

mine got melted when my engine caught on fire, i just left it off and turned it off in the pcm, been a few years, everything still works fine...

It connects to a line that runs back to the evap canister. The evep canister has three lines.
One to the engine. the one in your pic
One to the purge solenoid. by the tank area.
One to the tank At the fuel pump assy.
