Default Camshaft selection for 6.0 tow rig.....

Hey guys, I need some advice on a camshaft for my 04 HD. 6.0 with 4:10s. Ive got a 10,000lb camper Ill be pulling from time to time and I want a cam that has some more torque to it than stock. As I said, this is primarily for towing. I would like to retain as much STOCK drivability as possible. I do have a UPD induction and full exhaust. Any help is appreciated.

My vote is for a nice Comp XE High lift 212 212 .558 114 cam.

After many conversations, phone calls and emails. This is the one I have been STRONGLY directed towards. 212/212, .528"/.528", 112 LSA with +4 degrees of advance

This one sounds nice .. I would run it on a 115 center though. It would retain a much better idle and keep the power down a little lower. You might be able to get away with not having to get it tuned.

If you want the choppier idle, go with a split duration, something like a 208/212 .524/.534 on a 114. That will give you a small chop in the idle. It might even yield a little better gains.

My thoughts exactly. I definitely wouldn't do a 112. I'm running a 114 right now in my 6L, and if I had my choice, I'd move to a 115. That being said, I'd still go for the higher lift over the plain XE lobe.

Whats the biggest lift that you can get away with on these heads safely? Assuming changing the springs. I did a search on this about a week ago and came up empty on the 6.0L heads.
