Default camshaft install parts round-up

I've bought a 224/224 .560 .560 112 cam recently and am now trying to make my mind up on which springs and pushrods to run. Has anyone had any experience with patriot performance double springs??http://www.patriot-performance.com/w...07473&DID=1225 seems to me for the price that deal cant be beat if its worth it since the comp 921 kit runs about $600
Now as far as pushrods go.. 7.400 hardened is what I need ...correct? Any particular brand to stay away from?? Thunder Racing has an in house set for $110 that looks promising.

I run comp 918 valve spring and comp 7.4 pushrods. Its also worth it to install a ls2 timing set while your at it. This is a very common setup and fars as cam install parts go. Hope this helps

why not? I know they are generally used for a more aggressive cam profile than what I have, but it wouldnt hurt for the extra piece of mind would it? Or would it cause more harm than good IE; beating my valves/valve seats up? I'm open to suggestions since this is my first LS based engine cam install. I see the 918 singles are very popular........as far as a new timing chain..the engine has 20k on it ...whats the big difference with the ls2 timing chain over my stock one? Is it that much beefier than a stock LM7 chain?

with this kind of setup, you will typicaly find people running 918's and harden pushrods.
that is usually all whats needed for this type of setup.
and with only 20k mi, you will be perfectly fine with your stock timing chain.
