Question Cam installed...noisey

did a comp 212/218 and 918 springs...drivetrain seems a bit nosier..so we dissambled and its getitng adequate lube and torque properly...its just seems a bit louder..not like valve tick or anything..just louder...

is this common?

yes some noise is normal but not anything clanging around.... most call it a sewing machine type noise!!!

yes it is normal. More seat pressure, stiffer springs.. You are fine

Don't forget with the 918 springs to allow the motor to get up to operating temp before going above 2000-2500 RPM.

Not that I go tearing off in a cold motor (runs crappy cold anyway) but what occurs?

The springs are brittle when they are cold, once they warm up they are more flexible.

Yes, the 918 springs are more brittle than the stock, or even LS6 springs. Noisier too.

Yes you will hear more noise,that is normal with 918's.They sound like a sewing machine i a way,if you run 918's then you have to get used to it.
