What would be the difference between a 01 and a 02+ LS6 cam in a 4.8? And would there really be much difference in power?

Yeah I know it has a little more lift but most people consider both of these small cams compared to what some people are running. Just wanted to know if there would be enough of a noticeable difference to justify getting the 02+ over the 01?

If i were you this is what i would go with...

Comp XE lobes
210/216 .556/.561 109+4

it should put your overlap around -5* combined with the stock TC it should idle just fine, probably on the stock idle settings. to put things in prespective, my first cam the 220/220 114+4 it had -8* of overlap and i ran stock idle settings with no issues what so ever and that is when i was learning how to tune.

Also the low LSA and small duration would bump the DCR up which should help with the TQ problem...

if you notice it is really similar to my current cam, but the rpm range will be alot lower. the overlap on my current cam is +1*....

I like those specs alot. Now I'm on speed engineerings website to order that cam, what ICL should it be and how do I make it 109+4?

ICL = LSA - advance. So in the case of 109+4, LSA = 109 ICL = 105

Yep that those are the right specs. The icl shouldn't mess with the pr length. I would just get some hardened 7.4s and some ls6 springs and call it done...

nice cam specs... plus you can use the yellow LS6 springs for the quiet valvetrain....

so why not 6.0 again?
