Cam is on the Way

Don't want that to happen. Anyway I can't find a good source for torque specs for the motor. From what I've read so so far you once you get the balancer back on you torque the old bolt to 220 lbs. Remove it. Put in a NEW bolt and torque to 47 ft lbs then turn it another 140 degrees? Can anybody verify this? Does anybody know the part number for the new bolt?
Thanks,
Thanks,
As far as getting the crank locked down on a truck motor, I wasn't in charge of that item on my cam swap project, jrp was.....grippy, do you know what he was doing under there?
Don't know the number on the new torque-to-yield bolt, it came in a kit from Scoggin Dickey, a sponsor....but you might be able to buy it all by itself.

JRP was probably underneath with a screwdriver and jamming it through the flexplate. Works but requires 4 hands which I may not have during the install. I'm also at the point in my shadetree mechanic career to get the right tools. It makes things so much easier. Can't tell everyone how many hours I've spent in my projects over the years searching for some way to jury rig something when it could have been done in minutes with the right tools. I've fought a couple crank shaft bolts doing things like putting breaker bars on them and cranking the engine to break them free simply because I couldn't get the motor locked down. Its nuts!
I'll check out SDPC for the kit you mention. May ask them to ship me just the bolt.

Cam Motion 205/212 .548/540 114LSA + 4 Advance as recommended by Naked AV. Ordered today. 05 Electric Fans on the way. Ordering 3.2 pulley for the blower and Fan Harness from Nelson today. Comp Cams 918 springs, gaskets and spring compressor from Thunder Racing. Just bought an air compressor and couple air tools for the install. Been wanting one for years.
Figure I'll do wooden dowel rods and pen magnets for the lifters during the cam install. I've read about a longer crankshaft bolt. What is that for? Anybody recommend a place to get a new 34" radiator? Should I just go ahead and throw a 3.0 pulley on it? Hoping to get deep into the 13's 1/4 mile ET. Presently at 13.80's according to a G-timer. Figure this is 50 -60 more horespower and some additional torque. Can't wait!

Well Guys,
All parts and tools on the bench. Looks like the weather will be kind this weekend and the wife and kid are off to the inlaws for a visit. Just me, the truck, and some cold beer
Hope you guys are hanging around you and on the forum in case I need some technical help!
