would ya'll say that you would pick up about the same horsepower with either one??? just cause I know when I installed my cam the truck felt real different, and now that I installed the LT's it feels alot different too?? alot faster in other words?? or would you say that you can pick up about the same e.t. with either one??

I think that they compliment each other....like you said, I felt a huge improvement after my cam and tuning, then later I did my StainlessWorks LT's I felt a noticeable improvement also. Seems like the cam made a more drastic difference, but I did that first...the cam didn't really do much for me until I had an 02 PCM tuned for it though. So that was basically going from stock w/ bolt-ons to cam w/ tune. I'm curious if I had done the LT's first, if the difference in the SOTP meter would have been even more. I'm really impressed with the what the LT's did for my truck for sure...now I can honestly say from personal experience that shorties are
and LT's are the only way to go
I guess it all depends on what cam you go with, what parts you use with it (heads, intake, etc.)...there's so many variables. It's the whole combination and the matching of the entire package that makes it work.

I did LTs and cat-back first, and while the gain was noticable, it was nothing compared to the gain from the cam/tune/UD pulley. But that may be partially due to the exhaust already being done. It might have been the other way around if I had done the cam first. Like Billy said above, they compliment each other.

I've 'wised up' since my last build and am dyno'ng and track testing between mod stages.
ie: put down 278/301 absolute bone stock and am heading to the track asa the rain stops. next week: intake and LT's (2 1/2, w/dual cats, X and bullets) then back to dyno, then custom tune and track. In June it'll be cam/heads and re-tune/dyno/track etc...
That's the only way to prove results. Otherwise it's constant SOTP guessing.

like bud said they help each other... adding headers to a cam setup helps make more HP for the cam along with the 20hp alone from the headers. So instead of just gaining roughly 20hp from headers alone, yo uwould probably see 25-27hp since the cam is there already. Just giving ya an idea of how it works...
the more mods you do, the more they help EACH OTHER make their most HP
