Default cam swap or wheels/tires

I've got a 2000 silverado 5.3 engine. I can't decide if I want to do a cam swap, torque convertor, and shift kit right now or buy a set of wheels/tires. Currently I am running the stock 16" wheels with a 3/5 drop. I really can't decide what I want to do, so I'd like to get some input on what everyone would do first. Also, the tires that are on the truck currently are a 265/70/16

Depends if you want looks or speed. Which is more important?

I really want to do performance, but will the 4l60e hold up to a cam with a convertor and shift kit done to it?

I figured that much, but I also posted this same poll on a few different forums and I mainly wanted to get as many opinions as possible.

That is all subjetive and hit or miss at best. If you drive ithard most likely it will fail but then again you can drive it easy and it could fail. If you cam it start saving for a trans. A shift kit and vette servo will go along ways to making it last longer but you really never know.

i had 20's on my 02 chevy and it droped my gas milage down to 17 on the highway and 2 tenths of a second on my thousand foot....i put my stock wheels back on and prolly will not ever buy any wheel bigger than a 18 for a race application....however the 20's did look killer....just depends, fast or looks.....i said fast and havent looked back since!!
