what really is the difrence performance wise between a 220 and a 224 is it like a different area where the power is or??
pretty new to the stuff

On the 224/224 the power would come on a tad later than the 220/220. I would not recommend the 224/224 unless you plan to do it correctly with a nice higher stalling torque converter, shorter gears and so on. It depends on what kind of truck you have also. Is it a reg cab or cc, etc..
