When I had mine torn down and could not get the pulley off, I put it back without changing the water pump gaskets. Then raced at Thunder...no leaks. You can reyse any of them as long as they are not flat or torn from the metal when they come out. But they are cheap enough to get the added insurance. When I finally get off this shutdown at work, and get a certain owners manual , I plan on replacing all of them when I finally get the swap done.

Whats the deal with the balancer bolt? Why does it need to be replaced?

The balancer bolt is a stretch bolt. I believe the torque is something like 24lbft then 120 degrees. Something like that. The bolt is designed to be stretched for proper holding of the balancer. I have seen these bolts walk out if not replaced but some people have luck with not replacing them.
Another question I have is the tool to lock the flywheel so the motor doesn't spin while removing or installing the bolt, whats the part number? Anyone know.
